LoLo-ERBE Colloquium for early career researchers
10 November 2022
10:00 - 19:30
The Building Centre, Store Street, London, WC1E 7BT

Keynote speaker: Chris Stark - Chief Executive, Committee on Climate ChangeWhat are LoLo and ERBE?

LoLo is a collaboration between the UCL Energy Institute and Loughborough University and is the predecessor of the ERBE CDT. Its aim was to help deliver deep reductions in CO2 emissions by 2050 through an innovative, multi-disciplinary, high impact research and training programme. Our core focus was on the energy performance of buildings, and their multiple interactions with people and the wider energy system.

The Energy Resilience and the Built Environment (ERBE) Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) is the successor of LoLo, hosted by UCL Energy Institute and the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering at Loughborough Universitytogether with Marine & Renewable Energy Ireland (MaREI), delivers high quality doctoral training and research at the interface of the energy and buildings sectors. ERBE CDT focuses on the interactions between energy supply systems and buildings, and the need to create healthy and productive home and work environments to adapt to the urgent challenges of climate change.

 What is the Colloquium?

The annual Colloquium is a whole-day event where our students, academic supervisors, industrial partners and stakeholders come together to hear about and discuss the latest findings in energy demand research, share knowledge, and network.

The event is fully catered with breakfast, lunch and refreshments, followed by drinks and canapés in the evening. Our final year LoLo PhD Researchers will present their work throughout the day, with breaks in between where our other Doctoral Researchers showcase their work through poster sessions. We look forward to seeing you there!
