Every year the office for Social Responsibility at the University of Manchester host the 'Making a Difference Awards' ceremony. The Awards recognise the impact that staff, students, alumni and external partners are having on the social well-being of our communities and wider society and offer the opportunity to share best practice about social responsibility initiatives and encourage others to get involved.

Based on the contribution of building infrastructure capacity jointly with Manchester City Council for the local communities, the Manchester Urban Observatory team was awarded Outstanding Contribution to Social Innovation and Environmental Impact. Watch a short video here.
