22 June 2022

International Women in Engineering Day, brought to you by Women’s Engineering Society will celebrate its 9th year in 2022. Figures as of June 2021 show that 16.5% of engineers are women.

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) gives women engineers around the world a profile when they are still hugely under-represented in their professions. As the only platform of its kind, it plays a vital role in encouraging more young women and girls to take up engineering careers.

In support of INWED, we are delighted to be sharing individual stories of women engineers from across UKCRIC member institutions.

Below, we hope you'll enjoy reading the Q&A’s of women who have forged successful engineering careers within the UKCRIC academic community.
