Prof David Richards and Dr Andrew Robinson will introduce the facilities and research work being conducted at the UKCRIC National Infrastructure Lab at the University of Southampton. The aim of this facility is to find new and innovative ways to improve the efficiency of maintaining and upgrading existing infrastructure as well as developing more cost effective ways of designing and constructing new infrastructure.
