A UKCRIC Facilities Showcase for the UKRI NetworkPlus call: Improving the Sustainability of Urban Systems and Infrastructure

UKRI is set to fund three, £1M NetworkPlus projects, one each on the following themes:

1. Green infrastructure development linked to blue, brown and grey infrastructure;
2. Low carbon connected digital infrastructure with considerations between urban and rural environments;
3. Sustainable urban systems, to become more resilient and adaptable across natural systems and infrastructure.

• 5 October – UKRI informational webinar
• 7 October – UKRI informational webinar
• 11 October – UKCRIC Facilities Showcase
• 21 October – Expressions of interest closing date
• 9 November (4pm) – Full bid closing date

UKRI are looking to encourage a truly system of systems approach that will involve collaboration and the sharing of knowledge through utilising previous UKRI investments such as UKCRIC facilities. To support this approach an online showcase was held on Monday 11 October. The showcase provided an overview of UKCRIC and each of its facilities, followed by an opportunity to speak to facility representatives.
